LibreOffice is open source, so no expensive license fees for our business. It supports Microsoft documents and allows us to save in .doc and .docx formats. It runs on Windows 8, and there are always regular updates being released. It's perfect for most average users that use it to write up letters. It allows you to convert files to .pdf. It has a familiar user interface and is easy to use. Good program, worth installing when your trial of Microsoft Office has run out!
Really nice pack of tools. This guy is being developed in the right way and has much of what it takes to succeed. But there's still much more to achieve in matters of productivity and compatibility in mi sight. Worth a check, keep this one on your sight.
